I’m glad to see they went with the aero wheel package. Really cuts down on the drag.

It’s pretty much Harley Earl’s LeSabre concept as imagined by a lunatic.
Okay, “more of” a lunatic.

Clearly a car for people who want a plane. Still that tiny cockpit compared to the large body makes me think of the Youabian Puma:

I don’t know. They put that much effort into the sheet metal, it could be pretty decent. Also, I wonder if it’s mid-engine.

Wow, that’s really hideous.

I always wondered about that slogan, since this is the first Saab airplane:

I went a googlin’ to learn more, but I didn’t get far before I lost focus.

That invented the emoji.

Given the piano hinges on the back deck, I’m assuming so.

TBH that’s pretty darn well done for 1950's garage grade fabrication.

That’s what I’m thinking. I wonder if those guys worked in an aircraft factory.

Nice! SB-307B that Howard Hughes once owned [as a plane]. Hurricane damaged and it became a boat: the Londonaire. I’ve not seen this later pix tho.. that air conditioner just stuck there...could we try a little harder guys ?

So sweet! I’ll bet there’s a surplus Allison or Rolls aero V-12 under that wonderfully hinged engine cover. Skinny tires! New Mexico plates?

That would be nuts if it had a V12. Nuts in a good way. No idea about the plates.

I didn’t know that. I just remember seeing the photo in my searches. There are a lot of photos of the original on the Internet, and that would make an interesting article. Yeah, that AC is pretty terrible. But it’s Florida, so not surprised.

But then they took it and put a jet in it.

Florida’s good enough for Donald Trump. They can have him.
